I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
